Here at Bournemouth Beach Weddings HQ we have been extremely busy taking enquiries and bookings for 2012 and even 2013 as couples queue up to be amongst the first to get married on the award winning Bournemouth Beach. As this is the first time in the UK that couples can marry right on the sand on a public beach, there have of course been many questions for the team at Beach Weddings Bournemouth.
One of the questions we have been asked on a regular basis is what does one wear when getting married on the beach in England?
We thought we would give you a helping hand and asked a few of our lovely local suppliers to give us some examples of clothes suitable for a Beach Wedding in England.
Natalie from Exquisite Bridal Couture, Lymington has sent us this stunning wedding dress called Kristene by Claire Pettibone (£2940) which works beautifully for an English vintage-style Beach Wedding. The light fabrics and small train make it practical, but still beautiful and very pretty.
Another selection from Natalie is this beautiful wedding dress called Paradise by Caroline Castigliano (£3249) and the name of this dress says it all as you are most certainly in Paradise whilst marrying on the beach. The soft flowing layers of the organza skirt are just perfect as they will flow and move with the lovely sea breeze.
Natalie has chosen this pretty Lillie Lace Ballet Shoe by Harriet Wilde (£164.99) to go with any Beach Wedding Dress and features stunning lace fabric which is so on trend for bridal and these lace pumps are so elegant, stylish and extremely chic for a flat pump. The flat heel also makes them the most perfect shoes for a Beach Wedding. Each shoe has been handcrafted in the finest ivory lace and silk satin, they look absolutely gorgeous on the foot and you’ll want to wear these again and again even after your wedding with us at Beach Weddings Bournemouth.
We also spoke to Nicola at Shoe Devotion who recommended simple but effective foot jewellery as an alternative to shoes or sandals.
But for something a little more traditional, look for shoes with a low heel and a strap to help keep your shoes on your feet when walking on the sand!
And after a scan on the internet , we also found the following dresses which would be perfect for a Beach Wedding in England.
And for the groom, opt for light-colored linen with loose-fitting cotton shirts. To create a more formal look, add a co-ordinating tie.
Or alternatively go for all white linen for a really summery, beachy feel…
Of course not forgetting the bridesmaids, who should always co-ordinate with the bride and her chosen theme or colour. Pastel colours or more traditional muted tones work well for Beach Weddings.
Last but no means least, a few ideas for Mother of the Bride…
We hope that has given you some good ideas for what to wear to a Beach Wedding in England but if you have any questions or want to discuss your dream Beach Wedding with the experts, give the Beach Weddings Bournemouth team a call on 01202 788271 or email us email@example.com
