B-e-a-utiful Bunting!

Quite a few of our recent weddings at Beach Weddings Bournemouth have had bunting to style their marquees and we LOVE it!

Bunting adds height to the styling of your marquee as it brings colour above table height. Bunting looks fab in any venue but works particularly well in marquees as it adds colour to the ivory livings which although very beautiful can look a little plain. Putting up bunting in our smaller drinks marquee for your drinks reception also works really well as then your theme runs throughout the venue. As the drinks marquee is a space for mingling there are no tables and chairs to dress so putting up bunting really brightens the space and ties it in to the main marquee. If you do opt for bunting, be careful not to make the tables too busy or full of colour or the room can feel over powered and cluttered!

Theres bunting available to fit every theme and colour so here are a few of our favourites. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for then try making your own! The time and effort taken to make bunting gives it a really personal feel.

Coastal Creatives made this beautiful vintage bunting for one of our couples. They have bunting available to hire in lots of different colour schemes and make it all by hand themselves! If they don’t have bunting already made to match your colour scheme then they will make it for you!

Bright and beautiful! The tropical colours are perfect for a summer wedding.

This chalk board bunting is brilliant! Personalise your message or even use it as an alternative to a guest book and ask your guests to leave you a message on a triangle of bunting. It will create something beautiful for you to display in your home after your special day, but make sure you use a chalk pen so the writing doesn’t rub off!

Vintage at The Seaside

This lovely little blog has been written by Carrie from Simply Love Vintage, one of our recommended suppliers for Beach Weddings Bournemouth. Simply Love Vintage provide vintage crockery and styling and will come and set up everything for you! Carrie was down on the beach with us on 10th August styling a very small and intimate wedding for just 20 people for the lovely Debbi and Carl. This is her take on the day! Thank you Carrie for sharing this with us! Hopefully it will be the first of many! A big thank you must also go to Christian Lawson who has very kindly let us use his photos. Enjoy!

Our pre-loved vintage crockery and styling adds the finishing touches to weddings and any special occasion, in any venue, whether it be contemporary hotels, village hall, clients’ own homes and gardens or even a beach wedding setting.

We could not wait for the day to arrive for us to be involved with the styling and finishing touches for our first Beach Wedding ceremony and beach BBQ  on Bournemouth beach this past weekend.

Our clients, Debi and Carl live and work in Manchester but there was no doubt in their minds that they wanted a beach wedding without spending an absolute fortune by travelling abroad.

Debi also has many happy memories of spending precious times as a child growing up and holidaying with her late grand-parents in Poole and Bournemouth, and again this was another ‘tick in the box’ to have a beach wedding on Bournemouth’s golden sands.

Debi wished us to incorporate some very personal touches into her wedding and these were concentrated with her flowers and the crockery. Debi’s late grand-mother had Anemones in her 1930’s bouquet and Debi requested that we also include these in her bouquet, her bridesmaids, and her table decor.

The vintage crockery also was another nod to happy times spent with grand-parents  and fitted the wedding theme perfectly. We had so many lovely comments from our bride & groom, her mum and dad, together with close family and friends on how ‘beautiful’ it all looked and how it was these pretty details that revived such happy memories for Debi of past years with her late grandparents with everyone experiencing the joy and emotion of such a beautiful wedding day on the beach.

Firstly, we must also add that it was fabulous to work alongside Matt of Fish Face (the resident caterer) – and my mouth was watering most of the time with the many delicious aromas drifting out of the catering tent, together with the fabulous team at Beach Weddings Bournemouth (Melanie and Nicolle) whose professionalism is second to none.
