Beach Weddings Autumn Open Day 2014

Sunday saw an incredible day await us.  How were lucky were we to have a bright sunshine and hazy warm day to greet our Autumn 2014 Open Day couples.  We started very early at the beach before the sun came up to start to get the venue ready.   The doors opened at 10am to a steady stream of waiting couples who had come along to see the venue and meet the team and our selected suppliers attending the day with us.  The day was busy as our Open Days always are and we were really pleased to greet so many lovely couples – some who have booked with us and were coming along to talk detail and some who were new enquiries who were using it as an opportunity to see the venue for the first time.

We started with a mini photo shoot with the super friendly and very talented Mia Hooper Photography.  Mia kindly took some photos of the team before we got started.  Pictured here are the BWB team from 2014 – a team of seven who have spent the season either office based or beach based or both !  Looking after all the admin and the execution of our couples’ weddings.

Melanie, Lara and Celeste will all be on hand next season to look after the weddings and during the winter season the office / emails and enquiries will be manned by Melanie and Lara whilst Celeste goes off on her travels and returns in April.

The venue looked stunning and a huge thanks goes out to the lovely Rachael and Louise from Coastal Creatives who helped to style the venue in their normal incredible fashion together with the ladies from Arcade Flowers who were there to produce their beautiful blooms for us and to give couples some ideas of how they could include flowers for their beach wedding.  Flowers decorating our driftwood arch has been really popular this season so we hope to see more of it next season plus gorgeous floral hearts in The Wedding Hut looks beautiful.

Lisa Notley  came along on the day to showcase her cake design  business and provided some very welcome tasters of her amazing cake which includes a lot of local Dorset ingredients which makes her cakes even more exciting for our couples to have for their beach wedding with us to tie in with the Dorset / local produce which we try so hard to involve in as many of our weddings as we can

Here are a selection of our favourite images from the day

We were also lucky enough to be entertained throughout the day by Rachel and Kev from acoustic singing and guitar duo Evertide  who are perfect for your wedding with us

It was a great day, wonderful to be busy again so thanks for all the suppliers who took part and help to set up, style and entertain us!
